James Kermack - Artistic Director

 

 

James trained in Acting and Musical Theatre for three years and has over

80 professional acting credits including shows at the Old Vic, Young Vic,

Hampstead Theatre, Pleasance, Tristan Bates, Arcola and Liverpool

Everyman.

 

As a Director work includes NEWSREVUE  (Canal Cafe Theatre), BURNING

LOVE  (Tabard Theatre), LADS  (Edinburgh & Old Vic), THE  AMMUNITIONIST

(Old Vic Studio), THE DA DA SUICIDES (Blue Elephant Theatre) and various

 comedy/ stand up/ sketch shows. He is currently developing and

directing projects for 31 Pumpkins Productions and Veni Vidi Theatre

Company.  

 Most recent credits include LAMBERT (TEN IN A BED) LADS (CANAL CAFE)

 AUDIO: includes MANOR, TITUS ANDRONICUS and MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING

(VENI VIDI THEATRE COMPANY)

 

Writing work includes LADS  (Edinburgh), BUCKAROO FOR ONE  (Arcola

Theatre) for 'The Company Project' where he is a resident writer and

TALKING SHIT AND BEING INFLUENTIAL (Brighton Festival 2009) "an

inspired piece of writing" (THREE WEEKS - 4 STARS).  He regularly

contributes sketches to NEWSREVUE and has a screenplay

KNUCKLEDUST  in development at Thames Gate Films.

 

 

Martin Murphy - Executive Director 

 

 

Martin Trained in Creative Writing & Drama at Liverpool's John Moore's

University Graduating in 2004.  

In 2006 Martin's play Barren  premiered at London's Old Vic Theatre.

Martin is currently a writer for the Old Vic New Voices Company. 

His other writing credits include; Heads  (Liverpool Unity Theatre 2006),

Usher   (EveryWord Festival 2007), Damaged  (Clerkenwell Theatre then

Liverpool Everyman Theatre 2008) , Transition  (Tristan Bates, Midnight

Matinee 2009), Settled  (Drill Hall, The Bud Opens 2009) and co-writer of 

 After the Flood  (Old Vic, Symposium Festival 2009).

 

 

 

Amy Cook - Resident Designer

 

Amy is a Motley trained theatre designer who has created set and

costumes for numerous productions. She is a member of the award

winning Kandinsky Theatre Company, and has recently joined emerging

company Theatre 6. Since leaving Motley Amy has worked with Complicité

designing their education production, 'Ignite', and with director Andy

Brunskill on 'Open Yarmouth', performed at The Etcetera Theatre. Amy has

also worked as an assistant to the designer Naomi Wilkinson on a Tilted

Dance Company production of 'Glacier' (The Queen Elizabeth Hall) and has

also assisted Ellen Dowell on the English Touring Opera's education

project 2008. Future projects include 'Limehouse Nights', a site-specific

piece by Kandinsky Theatre Company, staged in the old Limehouse Town

Hall.
